Network issues

CM5 is not connected to network. A red wifi symbol is flashing on the right bottom corner in the POS login screen and cannot load cash desk information.

  1. Check if mobile data is on from the top menu on the screen. 
    1. if yes
      1. Is the mobile data showing any bars or 4G-sign in the top menu of the screen?
      2. if yes
        1. Switch on airplane mode for 30 sec and then switch it off again
  2. if this did not help > check from the top menu of the screen which SIM is active. SIM-card is usually in SIM 1 slot so make sure you have SIM 1 active 
  3. if this did not help, check the mobile data operator from the settings
          1. open settings -> network and internet -> mobile network > advanced > Access Point Names
            1. Depending of the SIM card operator, the Access Point Names -settings should have the following information:

              for Onomondo SIM: 
              - Name: onomondo
              - APN:   onomondo
              - APN type: onomondo
                    for Elisa / Verifone SIM card
                    - Name: Telenor Nordics 1
                    - APN: verifone.inc.cxn
                    - APN type: default,supl

            Please notice that the APN info needs to be written exactly the same way as above.

            Please notice that Elisa SIM card might not always need spesific APN settings after activating the SIM card. Check this for each situation.
          2. Please make sure all the submitted APN info is correct and the correct APN option is chosen (green dot). Edit if necessary.
          3. If APN settings are missing, please press + on the right top corner and add the APN info regarding the SIM operator.
          4. Restart device if mobile network does not start to operate

  4. If the mobile data is unable to connect and the device is needed immediately, check the option for connecting the device into a WiFi network or hotspot.
