United Festivals’ Diverse Festival Lineup
Behind United Festivals is a small but passionate team that puts their heart into everything they do. Henri Mäentaka has worked at United Festivals for five years and serves as the company’s Head of Productions.
During the summer, United Festivals organizes festivals of various sizes and styles. In 2026, the company will host a total of 11 festivals, with daily attendance ranging from approximately 2,000 to 10,000 visitors. What connects these events is high-quality programming, a unique atmosphere, and a smooth event experience.
United Festivals’ largest event is Down By The Laituri, held in Turku at the end of July.
Down By The Laituri is a long-established festival held next to Turku’s atmospheric Cathedral. For Mäentaka, it is precisely this unique setting that makes the event one of his favorites.
“My absolute favorite festival is Down By The Laituri. It’s our crown jewel. I’m originally from Turku, and many people on our team are also from Turku, so this is our home turf.” – Henri Mäentaka, Head of Productions, United Festivals
