CoreGo has been Provinssi’s partner for event technology since 2015, constantly working to improve the festival and the visitor experience. This year, CoreGo provided payment solutions and a private network to keep payments running smoothly. As a pilot project, CoreGo also tested how a bar could be powered entirely by renewable energy.
Provinssi, organized in Seinäjoki is one of the biggest and best-known music festivals in Finland. This year Provinssi attracted 85,000 visitors, who got to enjoy multiple gigs and other activities during the festival.
CoreGo supplied the festival’s sales points with the portable CoreGo POS terminals and a private network that made easy and fast payments possible across the entire festival area.
For visitors, CoreGo’s POS terminals offered multiple payment options, while for vendors, they provided ease of use and detailed reporting. The device combines both a cash register and payment terminal, saving space at the sales desks.
CoreGo also tested a renewable energy project where one bar’s power was produced by solar panels on the tent’s roof. A backup battery, charged with renewable energy before the event, ensured a steady power supply. The solar panels and the battery provided enough power throughout the festival for the bar’s refrigerator and two POS terminals.
