Satakunta Winter Classic 2025 brought the sports world to Pori’s ice rink on January 24–25. The event combined exciting ice hockey, entertainment, and innovative event technology into a one-of-a-kind experience.
The classic match between the ice hockey teams Ässät and Lukko brought great action and nearly 9,000 fans filled the stands, creating an exciting atmosphere. This unforgettable event left a lasting impression on both ice hockey fans and those who love event culture.
CoreGo’s solutions, like smartcards, table service, and portable POS terminals made the VIP area payments more efficient. Smartcards enabled easy and secure payments for VIP groups without need for cash or payment cards. The balance on the smartcards made transactions faster and helped reduce queues, making paying simple and quick.
Smartcards can be either 1. topped up in advance, 2. set up with a certain limit or 3. used as open-end credit card. Smartcards create one single invoice that can be paid after the event. This eliminates the extra work in collecting receipts.

Service in the VIP area was improved with hosts taking orders directly from tables using portable POS terminals. This personal service made it more comfortable for customers and made ordering and paying easier. Additionally, outside the event area, sales points offered products to customers, and mobile with the POS terminals, that were easy to carry around.
